VICTOR CANTORE, President and CEO, Director
Mr. Cantore is a seasoned capital markets professional specializing in the resource and hi tech sectors. He has more than 20 years of advisory and leadership experience having begun his career in 1992 as an investment advisor and then moving into management roles at both public and private companies. During his career he has organized and structured numerous equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture partnerships and strategic alliances. Mr. Cantore serves on the boards of various companies both private and public.
PIERRE CARRIER, Chief Operating Officer, Director
Mr. Carrier was President of Opsens (OPS: TSX-V) until January, 2013, a position that he held for almost 10 years. M. Carrier obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Université du Québec in May 1979. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Roctest Ltd, a company whose shares were traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He has carried out several financing and acquisitions in his career.
PATRICK MUSAMPA, Chief Financial Officer
Member of the Chartered Professional Accountant of Québec (CPA) and the Association de l'Exploration Minière du Québec, Mr. Mpoyi Patrick Musampa, CPA, CGA holds a BA in Accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and a graduate degree in accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke. During his career, Mr. Musampa has developed expertise in the mining sector by practicing accounting for several public companies. As an entrepreneur, he founded an accounting firm, MGM Resources Consulting Inc. which mainly provides mandates as Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller for mining companies in addition to providing accounting, corporate finance and tax services. Involved in the community, he is currently a member of Rotary Club of Old Montreal.
AARON STONE, Vice President Exploration
Mr. Stone is a Montréal based, bilingual geologist originally hailing from Perth, Australia. He is a registered Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) in the provinces of Québec and Ontario, Canada. Mr. Stone’s Québec experiences have been largely in gold, having worked at Newmont’s Éléonore mine, Bonterra Resources’ Bachelor mine and Amex Exploration’s Perron project. Prior to this, the bulk of Mr. Stone’s mining experience was in the Australian iron ore industry with BHP in the mineral-rich Pilbara region. Having managed large drilling programs in the past, Mr. Stone brings a solid set of geological and management skills in addition to his pragmatic approach to mineral exploration. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology) from Curtin University in Perth, Australia, of which the third year was based in the famous gold mining town of Kalgoorlie at the renowned West Australian School of Mining (WASM).
ANDRE SHARECK, Director
From 1996 to 2013, Mr. André Shareck was owner/partner with the Redbourne Group. Since 2015 Mr. Shareck has acted as VP Finance for Société de Developpement Angus. From 1987 to 1996, he was senior manager, Real Estate financing for National Bank of Canada. Mr. Shareck holds a Bachelors degree in geology as well as a Masters degree in geochemistry from the Université du Québec à Montréal since 1980 and 1983. In 1985, he completed a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, from HEC-Montreal.
YVON GELINAS, Director
Mr. Gélinas is a Chartered Professional Accountant (Quebec, Canada) and Certified Public Accountant (Michigan, USA) specializing in both Canadian and American accounting practices. He is the managing partner of the accounting firm, Boily, Handfield CPA Inc. Mr. Gélinas’ expertise covers the corporate auditing, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. He has facilitated the closings of several successful business transactions between Asian companies and their North-American counterparts.
LUISA MORENO, Director
Dr. Moreno is a Physics Engineer with a PhD in Materials Science and Mechanics from Imperial College London, in the UK. She has almost two decades of experience in Finance, Business Development and Technical Research, with a focus on Technology, and Mining and Metals industries. Currently, she is the Managing Director of Tahuti Global Inc., a consulting firm. As a strategic consultant she assists companies and institutional investors with economic and technical assessments of mineral assets and technologies. She works closely with Canadian and foreign governments on strategies and policies to attract local and foreign investments to the mining sector and supply chains, and she on the board of directors of several junior mining companies. Dr. Moreno is a recognized minerals specialist and a common guest speaker on television and at international conferences. She is often quoted in national and international newspapers and news.
PHILLIP S. BRUMIT SR., Director
President of GB Mining LLC Mr. Brumit brings over 45 years of experience in engineering, development, project management, operations start-up and mining operations across leading companies in the natural resources sector. Currently, he is a non-executive director for Luca Mining and Empire Metals. He has held senior leadership roles at Lundin Mining, Freeport-McMoRan, and Newmont Corporation, where he drove operational success and delivered major projects globally. Phil’s career includes positions such as Executive VP Projects & Operations at Josemaria Resources, President and Managing Director of Minera Candelaria (Lundin Mining) in Chile, and President of Freeport-McMoRan’s African Division focused on the Tenke-Fungurume copper-cobalt mine.
PETER DAMOUNI, Director
Mr. Damouni has over 20 years of experience in corporate and investment banking. He serves as an officer and director of public companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and London Stock Exchange. Mr. Damouni has successfully led strategic financings and developed and executed corporate strategies that have driven significant re-ratings of public companies. He has also played a key role in mergers and acquisitions that have created substantial value for shareholders.
